Natural disasters affect thousands of people each year, causing irreparable damage to peoples livelihood, property and crucial infrastructure. Sangli Miraj & Kupwad Municipal Corporation (SMKC) administration aims to make the SMKC area disaster resilient and achieve substantial disaster risk reduction by maximizing the ability to cope with disasters at all levels of administration as well as among communities. People can get ready to move before the actual disaster strikes upon receiving prior alert thru’ Apatti Mitra application. The detailed information on admission & discharge at such emergency shelters are available thru’ the Apatti Mitra application. SMKC citizens can register the disaster complaints through ‘Apatti Nond’, the complaints in turn gets forwarded to concern department of SMKC for necessary resolution.
